After conferring with one of his teaching colleagues at the Bronx's TAPCO School, Teaching Artist Roberto Williams has decided to develop an all-new concept for his intended student Batman stage play.
A narrative which tells the story of The Batman mythology's CREATION by cartoonist Bob Kane, writer Bill Finger, and artist assistant Jerry Robinson is now the central focus of the production.
But plans for placing colorful Batman universe heroes and villains in action on stage will NOT be abandoned! The new concept for this play will feature TWO narratives in one: The BIOGRAPHIC story of the comic strip creators, alternating RIGHT ON STAGE with the live FANTASY adventures their character creations!
Mr. Williams is hopeful that the school principal will be encouraged to see educational / inspirational value in this new concept due to the student body's Bronx origins mirroring those of Kane, Finger, and Robinson's in the late 1930's and early 1940's.
