PictureA grim Batman poses with two visitors at Kids Comic Con 7, Saturday May 11th.
Saturday, May 11th,  Fathers Of The Dark Knight Playwright, Producer, Director Roberto Williams joined Drama Students Andrew Davis Feliz (THE BATMAN), Anthony Vasquez (NIGHTWING), and Jennifer Paniagua (HARLEY QUINN) to appear LIVE at Kids Comic Con 7 (at Bronx Community College) to promote the upcoming stage play.

They BLEW EVERYONE AWAY!

Andrew Davis Feliz's grim, silent, menacing portrayal of THE BATMAN proved to EVERYONE that a traditional comic book version of this character is far more effective that just about ANY armor-wearing re-imagining from Hollywood!  And the most impressive thing about Andrew’s accomplishment is the fact that he did it while walking around in a brightly-lit convention hall, and while posing for photos with little kids!!   Just imagine how much MORE powerful and imposing he is going to be on the school stage, on opening night, with creepy lighting, steam, and sinister music!!

We can't wait !!

Today also marked Anthony Vasquez's first public appearance in-character to help promote "Fathers Of The Dark Knight". This talented young man proved once again that he IS the embodiment of NIGHTWING!!  Convention patrons were shocked, surprised, and delighted by Anthony's impressive heroics and demonstrations of crime-fighting acrobatics! They posed for photos with Batman's former sidekick and had their Iphone and ipad cameras working OVERTIME when Nightwing walked through the convention floor... on his hands... with his boots pointed at the ceiling! An INCREDIBLE display!!!

When psycho villainess HARLEY QUINN first appeared on Batman: The Animated Series over 20 years ago, she was an instant hit with fans. The character was embraced as a welcome addition to the Bat-mythology, providing an interesting dynamic as The Joker's hopelessly infatuated girlfriend.

Over the years, many cosplayers have costumed themselves as Harley. But only a select few can say that they BECAME the character (mind, body, voice and spirit) to the extent that Jennifer Paniagua did today.

Skipping merrily (and mischievously) throughout the convention hall, picking fights with The Batman and Nightwing, and posing for many souvenir photos, Jennifer reminded adults and kids alike why Harley Quinn is everyone's favorite psycho clown girl !!   Even in quiet, private, moments, during short breaks in a rear lounge area, Jennifer always remained in-character... truly demonstrating that she IS Harley Quinn come to LIFE… right out of the television screen!

As always Alaja Desilva did a brilliant job on make-up on our live performers. This hard-working young lady THEN did double-duty as The Batman's (Andrew's) personal handler on the convention floor AND as the FOTDK Production Promoter, directing everyone to check out our awesome production website!!

Charles Grant had a brilliant first day as the Fathers of the Dark Knight official video documentarian! From now until opening night, Charles will be shooting raw footage that captures all the ups and downs of putting "Fathers Of The Dark Knight" on stage!! The footage will then be edited together as a behind-the-scenes DVD that fans of our show will be able to enjoy!!

All in all, "Fathers Of The Dark Knight" had a HUGE weekend at Kids Comic Con 7 and Bronx Community College!

A HUGE Thanks to Alex Simmons of Kids Comic Con 7,  and Gene Adams & Anthony Brown of Bronx Community College! Thank you gentlemen for the amazing opportunity!
