Aaron David Kapner is honored to have the chance to play one of Batman's "superstitious and cowardly" archenemies. He actually has comic books in his blood as his cousin, Julius Schwartz, was an editor of DC Comics during it's Silver Age. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julius_Schwartz) and contributed to re-establishing Batman as the dark, brooding superhero that's being represented in this show.
A graduate of Circle in the Square Theater School here in New York, Aaron has performed in plays ranging from Shakespeare to completely new, unpublished works. His work onstage include workshops of Much Ado About Nothing and King Henry VI (part 1), productions of Hamlet and Comedy of Errors with the Spontaneous Shakespeare Players, As You Like It and The Crucible with Sink or Swim Repertory, Anton Chechov's The Marriage Proposal with Xoregos Performing Company, and readings of Richard III, King Lear, Coriolanus and Taming of the Shrew with the Instant Shakespeare Company.
He has also appeared in original works with Co-op Theater East, Emerging Artist Theater, The 2012 Estrogenius Extended Festival, The Living Room Reading Series, the 2012 New Jersey Playwrights Contest, and the Workshop Theater Company (of which he is a proud member)
But perhaps the one role of which he is the most proud is portraying the "big, damn hero" Captain Malcolm Reynolds in a stage combat showcase scene with Gruntled Productions. It was shiny. (Shoutouts to all Browncoats.)
On film, Aaron has done science fiction: Echo 49 with Companion Pictures www.companiopictures.com, horror: Emerald Trail with ALX Productions, and medical mystery: Real Healing directed by Andrew Lyman-Clarke. A short film he appeared in, Dirty Hands, was screened at the 2011 Garden State Film Festival.
On television, he's had day player roles in Good Morning America, Gyoten News, and both Taboo and Inside the American Mob with the National Geographic Channel.
He also appears in a commercial for Huntington Learning Center and has a recurring role on the webseries Parker and Steve: A Bromcom.
Special thanks to Roberto Williams for including him in this amazing production and giving him a chance to be onstage with his favorite comic book hero. And special congratulations and best wishes to all the cast and crew for being amazing.
