The beautiful and talented young actress Allison Rapsas answered a casting call last week that brought her to the attention of Playwright / Director Roberto Williams .  After meeting with the charming young lady and seeing her considerable acting and stage combat abilities, Williams was compelled to offer her TWO roles in his upcoming production FATHERS OF THE DARK KNIGHT!  Her first role, (to be performed live on stage) is the role of "Gale", a young, down on her luck street hooker who has a fateful encounter with a pre-Batman Bruce Wayne during a pivotal scene in FOTDK.  The second role, MUCH more prevalent and visible throughout the entire play, is as the informative voice of Gotham City, the Gotham Cable News Correspondent "Summer Gleeson".  This character actually functions as a scene transition character all throughout the play during news reports that are projected on the sides of the stage during set changes!

Read all about Allison and her impressive performance background in her very own BIO PAGE!

If you're like me, you're tired of our young people having THE ARTS being cut... more and more each year... from their school curriculum! Each year, Performing Arts students and their teachers have less and less resources to put on really good quality shows!

As an arts educator myself, that situation bothered me SO MUCH that I decided to do something about it!!  The ambitious stage play FATHERS OF THE DARK KNIGHT is my response to this issue!

My production
will feature a cast made up primarily of middle school, high school, and college-age drama students!!  And as a further enrichment for these budding young performance artists, I am including adult professional actors in the cast in two or three key roles!!

I'm giving these students an ambitious, excellent show to call their OWN!! I want them to have the BEST sets, the BEST costumes, the BEST props, the BEST production experience!!  I do this because they deserve the best. I do this because they deserve to have a top quality way to showcase their talent!

I do this because I love them.

But I really need your help.

If you can find it in your heart, PLEASE go to our GO FUND ME Campaign Page and donate whatever amount you can for our production. Your dollars will help me make these students shine on stage like never before. You can help me give them an experience that they will carry with them for a lifetime! What could have more artistic and human value than that?

TALENTED MICAH HENNING AUDITIONS FOR SMALL ROLE, AND WINS LARGER ONE!

Earlier this afternoon, Mr. Micah Henning auditioned for Playwright / Director Roberto Williams for a very small role in his upcoming stage production, FATHERS OF THE DARK KNIGHT.  During his audition, Micah’s humor, wit, and talent for vocal mimicry and dialect so thoroughly impressed Williams, that the director was inspired to make an unusual decision:  Instead of the smaller role that Micah was auditioning for, Williams instead awarded Micah the “meaty” role of disgraced Gotham City Lieutenant Arnold Flass… a role that the playwright has since re-written so as to more prominently feature the considerable talents of Mr. Henning!  Read all about Micah's impressive list of credits on his Bio Page!

The cast and crew is thrilled with the addition of Micah to the production, and anxiously looks forward to begin working with him!

Jamie Soltis cast as Harley Quinn!

12/12/2013

Responding to an open casting call for The Joker's psychotic hench-girl Harley Quinn, Pennsylvania native Jamie Soltis visited with playwright / Producer / Director Roberto Williams to discuss the character and to audition for the role.

Ms. Soltis' quirky sense of humor,  and bubbly, easygoing personality quickly won over Williams and his attending Production Manager Alaja DeSilva... herself a HUGE Harley Quinn fan!

But when Jamie demonstrated her brilliant acting chops in a tour-de-force audition monologue presentation and a script cold-read that was every bit as heart-breaking as it was captivating... (in a PERFECT Harley Quinn voice at that!)... the director knew that he had found his Harley!!

Read all about Jamie's impressive stage and film accomplishments in her Bio Page, and then visit her website at www.jamiesoltis.com !
